UFC 53 Heavy Hitters - Arlovski vs Eilers

Is it just me or are Ultimate Fighting Championship events happening more often? Seems like a couple of years ago it felt like an eternaty between events. Now after one UFC, the next UFC is right on its heels. This is a good thing MMA and fight fans. The upcoming UFC event, UFC 50 - Heavy Hitters is happening June 4th with a less than spectacular fight card. There are a lot of good fighters on the card, but overall, I think it is lacking the star power of past UFC events. For the headlines, Andre Arlovski is taking on Justin Eilers. To me, this match is a waste. Andre as put in plenty of time and has beaten plent of UFC fighters (minus, Pedro Rizzo long ago) and deserves a heavyweight title shot, now. But current HW champ Frank Mir is sidelined, so this fight won't happen for a while. But what if Andre loses to Eilers? No matter how great a fighter is, in this game, you're gonna lose once in a while. I just hope this isn't the case on June 4th as it would seem pretty unfair. The way Arlovski has been fighting, I predict he will be the future UFC heavyweight champ. Here is the complete UFC 50 fight card: Andrei Arlovski vs Justin Eilers Nick Diaz va Koji Oishi David Loiseau vs Charles McCarthy Nate Quary vs Shonie Carter Renzo Gracie vs Karo Parisyan Forrest Griffin vs Bill Mahood Paul Buentello vs Kevin Jordan Evan Tanner vs Rich Franklin
